1. I believe that Montag keeps washing his hands because it smells like kerosene. Montag was trying to wash away all the wrongs he had done, because he feels guilty. Beatty sees what Montag was doing and eventually makes Montag cracks.
2. Montag burns down his house in a very weird and odd way. He did it to remind himself of all the houses he burned while he was a Fireman. He then figured out all the lives and homes he destroyed. Montag then realize that books can be very helpful and useful.
3. Since Montag first saw Clarrise he had changed much. Montag had to start to have feelings for Clarrise. She changed the viewpoint on Montag much in everyway. Without Clarrise Montag would have been the same old fireman.
4. Montag killed his friend Beatty. I really don’t think it was a good idea to do so, but I bet Beatty deserved it. Beatty not only hurt Montag, but his wife Mildred to. Beatty was coming over to Montag house at late night hours.
Montag finally decides to read the books that he had been burning. He really couldn’t keep the information to himself so he was talking to himself. He really seem like he was interested in the book and everything in them books.
6. Montag is a very famous man. When he was at a fire some men cried out his name. How did they know my name probably was the question? Montag forgot that he is very famous.
The Government has so much control over this American City. Books and the knowledge that it contains is consider bad and Garbage for the people. Fireman goes around looking for stuff to burn so this society.
Montag goes to professor house to ask for some help. In this point of the story it shows Montag trying to make a difference. It is hard for him to stop burning those books, but he is making a progress.
Change is when someone is trying there best to make a difference. I believe through Clarrise that Montag is going to change. It may be hard for him but he will change one day.
Montag show his quest his book. I really consider that it wasn’t the best thing to do. Why would he put himself in that position to fail when he told some of his quest? I really think it wasn’t the smartest thing to do.
Clarrise changed Montag total view point on burning those books. At the exposition Montag just didn’t care. Now Montag is starting to consider that he has more to Life then just burning books.
I was so sad when I approach the part when Clarrise dies. I believe that she was an important character in this book. I just started to feel the pain and loss for Monatag and Clarrise Family.
12. Idea for Fahrenheit 451 The moronic influence of television, media, and factoids popular through Culture. We are becoming Idiots because of television and media. You have to read and understand the depth and height of the story.

Journals 2-29-08
